Barney's Press Reviews
Reflexology
I decided to go for Reflexology as I heard it's both energising and relaxing - and I love getting my feet massaged.
Barney Green is the most unruffled person I have come across.
His aura is totally at odds with mine. I feel I come across like a lunatic next to Barney - and we agree I give out significant stress-related vibes.
Barney tells me that he became sick of the rat-race, he changed his career, and began massaging in 1997. He has also worked with the NHS.
He explains that the feet are a map of the body, a perfect microcosm. And by stimulating certain points, he can re-balance and relax my body.
Reflexology can also offer relief from symptoms including arthritis, migraine, insomnia, PMT, digestive and respiratory problems.
Some chill-out music, dim lights and we're ready.
As Barney gently massages my feet, I'm lulled into a false sense of security, but he's only warming up. He warns me that the treatment can get quite uncomfortable at times and it does.
The pressure applied to my toes was just a little bit painful now and then. The discomfort often corresponds with an area of the body that needs help.
For example when Barney came across some crunchy sounding bits in my foot he said it could indicate congestion in my lungs. Sure enough he was right. I was nearing the end of a chest infection. No pain, no gain - I left walking on air.
