Complementary Stress Management Course - May 2011 - Glasgow

Complementary Stress Management

Complementary Stress Management is a course run over three Thursday evenings in May at Albert Drive Studios in Pollokshields . The course will include contributions form six of Glasgow’s finest complementary therapists on the subject of Stress. Our therapists practice, among other things, Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Indian Head Massage, Massage, Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage.

In our first evening, Hypnotherapist Pete Taylor will be offering an introduction to stress and how to manage it. In an increasingly stressful world this will serve as an introduction to understanding what stress is, what it can do to you and how to manage your stress more effectively using self hypnosis. There will be a relaxation CD made available at a special rate of just £5 for those attending the class (normally £10) as well as a Q&A at the end.

In the second of our three evenings we will be managing stress with Shiatsu practitioners Morag Findlay and John Williamson. Using acupressure points, self shiatsu (Do-In) and breathing techniques Morag and John will add further to your repertoire of tools in the bid to manage stress. They will also look at the role that certain eating and breathing habits may have in contributing to those acute moments of stress.

Finally, Trevor Chisman and Barney Green, will use essential oils to calm the mind, a meditation to re-connect with the body and finally a brief Indian Head Massage routine to enable participants to ease tension with friends and family.

At the end of each night we will provide you with information on how to book one on one sessions with any of our therapists who will tailor their treatments to your specific needs.
